This was originally reported for XFCE Thunar, but we narrowed it to a theme used:
https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/431
Trying to use box selection it works, but shows weird rendering when stopping and starting moving the mouse cursor again.
MATE Caja 1.24.0 doesn't show this problem for some reason.
From what I tested, it looks like only Menta and BlueMenta are affected.
I used thunar 4.15.3, compiled with other components from xfce-4.16pre2.tar.bz2 pre-released archive.
I have a short video demonstrating this issue, and I can upload it here if needed.
1.24.0-2
Package: mate-themes Version: 3.22.21-1
from Linux Debian unstable.
