Performance compared to non-docker environment

Hi All,

I've been using this project for quite some time while working on a rapidly growing shop. (500k+ products with 5+ storeviews)
Because of all this data the page loads are becoming quite slow on my development machine. I'm wondering if switching to e.g. MAMP (non-docker environment) would result in a significant performance boost. Did any of you compare the difference in performance between a docker and non-docker environment before?
