I created the a new project from firebase. After that i tried to login but message prompt said that need to use the new auth like firebase version 3 instead of 2. Can you advise on this? Thanks!!

I think this is a duplicate of some previously reported issues.

There is an upgrade guideline here: https://firebase.google.com/support/guides/firebase-web

I updated the libraries and tried to make code edits according to the guide but there are too many rabbit holes and subsequent errors. The changes seem to be significant enough that some major code updates is required.

Since the other tutorials I have tried have been outdated with the new version this has been a pretty frustrating exploration into Ionic and Firebase so far (no offense intended against the authors here, outside of this version issue it looks solid).
