In the Miller column UI, the number adjacent each year, month, day, and time could be interpreted as part of the date, e.g., "Jan 5" does not mean January 5th but that there are 5 mementos in the "January" temporal scope.
This is a problem for a couple of reasons:

It is not clear that when clicked, a new right column will appear. Nothing distinguished the ultimate link of a time from one that will invoke a new column.
We might fix this by:
Adding an icon to indicate that a new column will be created.
Provide some clarity that these numbers are not part of the date but are the count.
