WebSocket version spec support?

I've read a few threads lately like the following:

which discuss how juggernaut only supports older WebSocket specifications. Is this true, or are these threads outdated? I see nothing in the readme or documentation that details this, can it be added? I'd really like to use Juggernaut over Faye, but I just wanted to make sure it's up-to-date.
