Issue with Adding Website Multilingual Support

I have configured my Hugo website to support both English and Chinese languages. I created a 'Contact' option in the Chinese menu. When I click on the 'Contact' menu in English and switch the language to Chinese, the content of the 'Contact' page is successfully translated into Chinese. However, the 'Contact' menu in the Chinese version does not correctly redirect to the corresponding page. When I click on the Chinese menu, the website reverts back to the English menu. I'm unsure why this is happening and I need help to resolve this issue. Please assist me.
