When I open Xcode the window is shown in alttab. However if I open another xcode project this new window is not visible. And if I close the window shown in alttab the remaining still isn't visible.

I just realized the new window is only missing if I open the second project with the "Open..." (cmd+O) command. If I open using "Open recent" the window is visible as expected.

Is any of these windows fullscreen, or on another Space?

No, it's normal windows on the same space.

I don't know what a video would show...it changes the desktop leaving the Windows behind. But I'll try and put something together it you think it'll help.
