Going to a current rally poll on Firefox ESR version 45.9.0 on an Apple Mac Pro 3.1 running OS 10.6.8 the user just gets a twiddler forever. I realise that's a very old browser (released March 2016) but is there a good reason nothing appears on their screen? There are plenty of older people out there using 6-year old computers, and this one is sufficiently disabled that upgrading is very difficult for them.
Backwards-compatibility is a good thing so it would be good if it could be made to work or at least give a useful error. Main problem might be no-one having a firefox 45 to hand to test on.
I thought I'd file this so that the issue was recorded. It might be easy to fix.

Hi, thanks for reporting. I'll try and find time to look into this. I agree that this should be prioritized more and at the very least if support for a browser is not possible for some reason it should fail more gracefully.
