Describe the bug

When deleting one's message and changing to another communication tab, the message deletion is reseted.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to any communication channel.
  2. Write a message and delete it.
  3. Switch to another tab and go to the previous channel again.
  4. See message still displayed.

Expected behavior

Message is deleted after changing tabs without having to wait the entire countdown.

As I saw in the code this is by design. However I find it not very user friendly and will therefore propose a change in form of a PR.
