I am a newbie as well, but I am trying this: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/17736-run-powershell-scripts-from-task-scheduler

For Linux/MacOS you can run the script then append & to the end of the command to run it in the background.

Alternatively you can use nohup. Append nohup to the start of the command before calling the script.
