Alternative to Calico add-on for pod-network chaos testing

Is there an alternative to using calico network policy add-on like an envoy filter/ istio-plugin for pod-network chaos testing instead of ? We don't want to change our entire eks infrastructure since we're using the cni add-on just for one of our chaos game days.

Any pointers or thoughts/ suggestions would be great appreciated, thanks!
