I get this warning with transcode video:

"libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable.
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO."

Note that the conversion still takes place. I just wonder if I can prevent the warning by installing something? I am on MacOS with homebrew.

@tjesp I'm sorry you're having problems. But you need to either decrypt the DVD that you're trying to transcode or install a version of HandBrake built with decryption into it.

HandBrake always logs those messages, it's annoying but harmless

@samhutchins Ah! Forgot about that. Thanks!

@tjesp OK, so ignore my comment and go with what @samhutchins said. :) I think this is resolved now?

On Ubuntu now.

I get the same error with a youtube-video I have downloaded in webm format.

Encode failed (error 3).
HandBrake has exited.
libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.

I don't think there should be a VIDEO_TS.IFO?

@tjesp I have no idea why it would spew that message then. Does it just give the warning but still work?

Also, can you submit this issue to the HandBrake project? Because it's not really a transcode-video bug.
