Hi,

  Template very nice thanks. I couldn't adjust the Discovery rules and discovery graphs. What should I do to arrange them? I couldn't create the Discovery Graphs items on the Graphs tab.

regards

As this is a collection of multiple templates, which one are you talking about specifically?

I still have trouble understanding this specific problem. What do you mean by "arrange" the discovery rules and graphs? The template brings database, database tables and streaming discovery.

Did you configure at least some of the macros specified in the Readme? PG_CONNINFOis very important to contain the connection settings for your server. With PG_DATABASE_DISCOVERY_FILTER you can control which database names are included in the discovery if you get too much.

You can enable or disable discovery completely in the Zabbix GUI.

The discovery creates different graphs. You can find them listed in the Graph prototypes section of the template. For example each database gets a graph PostgreSQL: database {#DBNAME} size
These graph prototypes also specify the exact layout of the graphs.

You see them in Monitoring/Graphs. There you can also bookmark them for easy access as a favorite graph in the dashboard.

You can also add these graphs to a screen to build your own "dashboard" to monitor a database server.

Hi,
I have had also problem with Discovery rules.
Here are a few types which helped me:

  1. Reduce the update interval during setup Zabbix. You won't have to wait until something happens. You can return the original values after the setting is completed.
    Template settings:
  • Discovery rules - PostgreSQL databases discovery -> Update interval = 60
  • Discovery rules - PostgreSQL databases discovery - Item prototypes - PostgreSQL: database {#DBNAME} size -> Update interval = 60
  1. $PG_DATABASE_DISCOVERY_FILTER - logical operations such as default value (zabbix|db_.*) doesnt work to me. * works automaticaly on the end of the filter. First try simple word without any logical operations. Forexample: zabbix_database
