When you run this screensaver this message appears...

You cannot use Irvue Screensaver with this version of macOS.
Please contact the vendor to get a new version of the screensaver.

It was working before on Mojave; it must have been a recent incremental update.

If I build it locally it still works.

How does one build it locally?

I cloned the repo, opened the Xcode project, then under the Product menu there's an Archive option which lets you do a build and save it to disk.

Okay, if I have time I will try that out. Apple changed the security features of the latest macOS making you toggle options under System Preferences > Security & Privacy. Maybe by building it locally it bypasses that, because you've personally made it. It might be that the screensavers needs to be updated to request access to the new security features.

I think unfortunately the developer has lost interest in this product 😔

Yep, I would assume this is abandonware too.
