Add 20ish brief "tips, tricks, and reminders" to the submission alert. This will fill some wait time and convey generally positive information. Part of this task is to research what information is important to convey - I suggest crawling through sfbike's resources page for some inspiration. Let's get a list going before putting constraints on messaging etc.

Some examples:

  • Remember to yield to pedestrians - everyone should feel safe when in the road
  • You - yes you! - can request a bike rack from SFMTA! More parking means more people biking!
  • Having an event? It's easy to go green! Hire @sfbike to manage your valet bike service.
  • Avoid the hook! Vehicles turning right are supposed to cut into the bike lane so you can safely pass them on the left.
  • Take the lane - if you don't feel safe in the bike lane, its ok to share the travel lane with cars.
  • Be visible! Take your helmet, wheel, or bike lock with you into businesses. Show them how you get there!
