Basically, remove anything that is related to NMake project or have to do with https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/extensibility/visual-cpp-project-extensibility and write an expected task name in a custom way that allows direct delegation to Gradle. Crafting design-time task is crucial for this to work with regards to intellisense support.
