To help you, please provide example of requests you are sending and small Go example. Browsers like Chrome have Network tab and from that you can copy request as Curl.

I assume that you problem is not empty array but case when only some of the checkboxes are checked and now you do not know which are which.

but you really should start by examing what exactly is sent. For example - if these checkboxes have different names these will be sent as different fields of form - and now you expect Echo to bind different form fields to single string array?
