test zips

Hi there,
a noob question: what do I do with the downloaded txx.zip? Do I need to install and run via npm, or just copy the files from the zip to the app folder overwriting the files in it?

unpack
open a terminal in unpacked folder
type npm i to install packages
type npm start to run sharedown

Just FYI, as the new release exe is working brilliantly (thank you for that). After downloading t10 and t11.zip, unpacking, npm i, npm start I am getting this:

it says null coalescing operator is not supported, it requires at least nodejs 14.5
only tested sharedown on latest versions tho 18.x, 19.x, so you may want to update to the latest non-lts build for sharedown

Can't be it. As said, the 5.2.1.exe works brilliantly, don't wanna waste your time. So, please feel free to close this.
This is just FYI in case... and, of course, I am learning, too.

electron says Node 12?

the exe has everything it needs, it will work regardless
the source is a different setup

i don't know what that page is, but it is something really old, and according to docs electron uses its own nodejs runtime, but something is wrong there because a too old nodejs version is being used somehow

I updated node and electron via npm inside sharedownt11 folder, then it worked via npm start. As I got the vulnerability warning after the update, I followed the npm audit fix --force, now it doesn't work anymore.

deleted folder, reinstalled t11, updated node from within - back working again.

updated electron - still working. Not doing the audit fix this time.
