Add torn edge effect to captured images

Add torn edges to captured image. This makes emails look professional and let others know that the extract comes from a document. I saw this useful effect in Snagit for Windows.
I am currently able to achieve it by using the Eraser Brush in GIMP with some jitter under dynamic options. Then applying a drop shadow to the overall image this is the desired result:
