Custom covers get replaced with a generated cover

Steps to reproduce

1. Have a locally-stored series
2. Allow Komikku pull up the series metadata (online and locally), so you have the chapters listed
3. Add a custom cover (usually named cover.extension) after the chapters are listed by Komikku
4. Refresh the comic info (pull down). It'll use the custom cover temporarily
5. Check your storage. The custom cover has been replaced with a generated cover with exactly the same file size.

Expected behavior

The custom cover should always be used rather than one generated from the available chapters.

Actual behavior

Custom covers are often replaced with generated covers.

This behaviour has been consistent from Tachiyomi.
