Check from the command line if the GUI is unlocked?

I use KeePassXC to manage my SSH keys. Often, I open my laptop and eventually I need to ssh and I haven't needed any passwords yet, so my connection fails.
What I'd like to do is just create an alias for ssh that prompts KeePassXC to come to the front if it's not unlocked or just continue otherwise.
Basic example: alias ssh=keepassxc unlock && ssh
It wouldn't need to return true/false, just handle the situation and then return true after unlock or cancel.
Is this something that's possible and I'm just missing it or would this need something new?

Thanks for the answer.
I wonder if adding something like this would be far simpler than either of those issues. I don't think there's a security issue because there's no querying or response of any kind accept that the command completed without failing.

There is another request on the board for a "bring to front only if locked" type feature. I cannot find it atm.
