the Hot reload feature from the regular compose desktop plugin is very useful for interating quickly on UI changes. Since the latest version of the dsl broke the previews, this would be a very welcome feature on Nucleus

The current version of the default compose multiplatform plugin does not implement the Preview reliably, so there is no easy way to iterate quickly on UI changes.

Im not asking you to fix Preview. Im asking to add the hot reload https://kotlinlang.org/docs/multiplatform/compose-hot-reload.html

Now I see what was the issue.

When running the hotRun command, it does not automaticaly get what was provided in the mainClass parameter

Execution failed for task ':desktop:hotRun'.
> Missing 'mainClass' property. Please invoke the task with '-PmainClass=...`
  Example: ./gradlew hotRun -PmainClass=my.package.MainKt

So, for that to work I needed to pass the main class as argument explicitly:

 ./gradlew :desktop:hotRun -PmainClass=MainKt

   }
}
