Undo #26 i.e. back to default behaviour. It made sense when the pink print block stayed centred but since LizMap stopped centering the print block (quite a while ago now), it moves off screen when you go to the location you actually want to print and to get it back you have to toggle printing.

Upgrade Lizmap Client to 3.8 – In later versions, such as Lizmap 3.8, the automatic print block activation was removed from the client code. Upgrading both the QGIS plugin and the corresponding Lizmap web client can resolve the issue without requiring additional custom development.
Apply a Custom Patch in Version 3.5 – If upgrading is not an option, a custom patch can be applied to address the issue in Lizmap 3.5.
We must definitely upgrade (#99), then address the OP in the upgraded version. Not sure if #106 (comment) really addresses the OP if you consider my edits and what was done in #26
