Currently only Discord and Reddit are listed, but these bifurcate the community on lines of privacy, accessibility, and philosophy (open source tools for open source formats).

There is a Matrix integration to the main chatroom on discord: https://matrix.to/#/#jxl:matrix.org?via=matrix.org
Not sure if we should advertise it on the page though, since it seems to mostly bring spammers...

For communication around libjxl, there's of course also github.

That's a bit ironic, as GitHub isn't really accessible either. It's similar in vein to Discord, being proprietary and discriminatory in nature. It took me 2 years to sign up on GitHub because their captcha system is absolutely broken. I wish mailing lists, IRC, and XMPP would make a comeback in more portions of the free software community.
