Often, I find that I would benefit from the ability to specify things like "tomorrow" or "next week" via templates. For example, if I'm planning the next week, I want the template to substitute something like this for me:

<next week's number>: <first day of next week> -- <last day of next week>

Similarly for the next day. Is it possible to have Joplin substitute a date that is not the current date into a template?

Seconding this. In particular I want {{yesterday}} and {{tomorrow}} to work. This isn't possible currently.

{{date-2}} sort of like the search. Or supporting: How do I insert relative date/time in notes? - Support - Joplin Forum But that might be joplin core. It would also solve my formatting issue.

Implemented in #79. This feature will go out in the next release.
