I get different results using the demo image on the demo page on Chrome 85 and Firefox 82.
I resize it to 100x100 and on Firefox it's like if anti-aliasing is disabled.
It seems that on Firefox imageSmoothingQuality is not implemented.
As a workaround, as I need Bicubic anti-aliasing, I can use the Blur filter, but the result is not strictly identical.
Maybe it could be possible to do it programmatically?
