Problem when updating pages

When I use supercache and then update a page, even if I clear the cache within the manager afterwards the old page is still shown.

I am using the latest version of MODX Revolution (2.2pl) on an Apache server running PHP 5.3.5 and Mysql 5.095

If you try it on 2.2.1 does it still break?

Yes, in fact it's even worse. Now even after I clear the cache the old page is shown for the index page.

Hi, at the moment the only way I can get the home page to update is to FTP to the cache folder and delete the entries, even clearing the cache in Modx doesn't provide page update.

Using latest Modx 2.2.1 PHP 5.3.5 and Mysql 5.095

Are permissions set correctly for PHP? Does it have the right to delete in the core/cache directory?

Despite the options being set in Modx for files to be created as 666 supercache is insisting on creating them as 644 as a different user too.

I've finally managed to track down that supercache is creating the files as the user "apache" in the group "apache", I understand that modx uses the FTP user to delete files (which isn't "apache"). What I can't figure out is why modx or supercache would be doind this.

Not sure how to help with that either.

This is probably due to how the server is configured. Likely you're NOT using suPHP... if you were, I think the issued would be solved.
