neo4j-shell-tools with os x app

I've downloaded the neo4j community app (3.0.1) for os x and placed it into my /Applicationsdirectory. Installing the tools in /Applications/Neo4j Community Edition.app/Contents/Resources/app/lib doesn't have any effect as the commands aren't available in the shell which i started with ./bin/openNeoTerminal.sh.

There is no shell in desktop anymore

Please download the tar.gz or install via homebrew
