Rewrite intro chapters to leverage /include & /snippet #3

Many of the code examples embedded in our API intro chapters are out of date. Using the /include and /snippet commands should make it possible to avoid this.

Took a little figuring out, but now starting this work here: 7346842

I find it exciting that code examples will stay in sync!
But maybe I'm weird. :)

Went looking for examples in the actual codebase, but there seems to be no analogous sections for the examples in these two chapters:

includes a snippet for catching exceptions when creating new objects in the "Object Lifecycle" doc
