Jaeger collector ingress port 14268

We have separate k8s clusters, with the collector on a specific cluster we would like to expose port 14268, for direct application logs, as an ingress for the external clusters.

Is there any thing "special" we need to consider for the ingress (in our case nginx). As it stands at the moment we get 202 errors from the collector when sending from outside the cluster. Do we perhaps need to expose any other or a different port?
