The set of repos feeding into https://ipfs.ecosystem-dashboard.com/ should be updated to reflect the current project.

Based on https://ipfs.ecosystem-dashboard.com/orgs:

Remove:

  • libp2p - Remove everything in the /libp2p org. The projects have been separate for many years now and there is a separate dashboard to track that.
  • ipfs-inactive - I think it's also fair to remove everything in the ipfs-inactive repo
  • application-research - Remove, deprecated

Question marks: In my opinion, these should be removed because they are L2s. Not 100% convinced though.

  • web3storage
  • nft-storage

Add: I would add:

Thoughts @andrew @2color @darobin?

We should add peergos/nabu as a repo and the ipni org at the very least too.

I agree with the rest, the only thing I'm slightly unsure about is IPVM (not against, just wondering how close it really is).

I think web3storage has some important contributions, e.g. https://github.com/web3-storage/ipfs-car.

Not sure what the future plans are for ipfs-shipyard, but for now, it still houses some important repos, e.g. https://github.com/ipfs-shipyard/helia-service-worker-gateway
