I am having trouble with redun on recent NixOS, which has Python 3.12.

The cause seems to be lack of setupmeta for Python 3.12, which is a dependency of fancycompleter. I think setupmeta is dead.

And the issue for fancycompleter on switching away from setupmeta has been unresolved for more than a couple of years.

Is there something fresher that could be used instead of fancycompleter?
