Resize disk?

My VM disk is too small for installing updates. Any method to resize the disk?

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't want to create a new VM just to increase the size of the disk image, since it would require me to do my enviroment setup all over again. Is there any way we can do that?

Resizing the boot disk is currently not supported in VirtualBuddy, and I'm not sure how that could be implemented. Pull requests implementing this would be highly appreciated.

Any update on this? I run into the same issue. I thought the image size is automatically increased.

Just ask AI to code it. That should help at least somewhat speed up the work.

I think I have found a workaround.

1. Create a new VM with the new disk size.
2. Disable FileVault on the old VM (wait until if is finished)
3. Right click the VM panel and select "Show in Finder"
4. Right click the .vbvm file and select "Show Package Contents"
5. Copy Disk.img to another lo location
6. In the new VM settings, add this copy of Disk.img
   • Find the "Storage" section (there should only be a "Boot" disk listed.
   • Click the "+" button in the bottom left of the section.
   • In the modal that opens, select "Select an existing disk image file
   • Locate and choose your copy of Disk.img from Step 5.
7. On first boot of the new VM, choose "Move from Mac..."
8. You should see a "Macintosh HD" as an available source option.
9. Wait for it to finish.
10. Stop the new VM
11. Go back the new VM settings and remove Disk.img
    • Find the "Storage" section
    • Select the Disk image
    • Click the "-" button in the bottom left of the section.
12. Start the new VM
13. Profit

Where in "new VM settings do you add the Disk.img"?
