saved queries or macros?

Hi,
Is there a way for me to store "saved queries" or use "macros" so that when I use the API to run a query the actual query structure is stored in the InfluxDB database?

e.g.
import "date"

from(query: "get_latest_data")
    |> range(start: v.timeRangeStart, stop: v.timeRangeStop)

would execute something like:

from(bucket: "live")
    |> range(start: v.timeRangeStart, stop: v.timeRangeStop)
    |> filter(fn: (r) => r._field == "myfield")
    |> cumulativeSum()
