In our on board sampling, we often find invertebrates in the basket, which are usually broken and not possible to identify during the sampling, We register them as "invertebrates".
Sometimes we also find inorganic material, and we also calculate its weight to register it in the DB.
When raising the sampled weight to the total weight of the haul, invertebrates and inorganic material are also raised.
If I am not wrong, this information cannot be uploaded in the RDBES, as do not have a WORMs code, and therefore we cannot fully replicate the estimates without it. On the other hand, although we cannpot reach a higher taxonomic level, we think that the information is relevant.
I wonder how the rest of people is dealing this this kind of issues
Thanks
