Definitely a regression - something broke after update (requires bisect)

using nvidia card as shown above.

when on xwayland apps, the cursor would be very small, whilst normal size is bigger then before a regression.

similar to #8580 but was fixed a while ago but... well, here we go again

1. use_cpu_buffer
2. go on xwayland app

I'm not sure if this is exclusive to xwayland apps, but I can definitely reproduce this.

One notable wayland-native application that has this issue is the foot terminal.

honestly, should probably just move to cairo for the rendering

can confirm inconsistent sizing, though for me it only occurs if a monitor is scaled fractionally and only on git flake(NixOS). sizing seems correct on 1.5x monitor but is way too large on 1.00x monitor

solved this by setting no_hardware_cursors = true

sure, but not sure why software cursor is laggier then before lately, it used to be the opposite

let's move to #8993 for all cursor issues, I'll probably rewrite the rendering to use cairo in a week or something
