Future fins #1
Comments
Hey mate, I was looking to use this base but see it's still on the to do list. I'm pretty keen to help out though and get this one going. I haven't done much CAD design but between my programming experience and messing around with the current files, I reckon I could get it done. I'm just looking for some insight on where to find specs for the fin box. I've looked around on google a bit but didn't come up with much. Any suggestions of where to look? Thanks! |
Hi Chris, Thanks for wanting to help out here. The reason the base is not yet modeled is due to the lack of information about the finbase. I don't own any future fins myself and am unable to measure them. If you have some future fins yourself, it would be great if you'd measure and model them. |
Hey Hans, thanks for getting back to me! Looks like you've run into a similar issue. I'll see what I can come up with. I have some future fins of my own so will take a look. Would you just measure things in mm and then convert to meters when creating models in OpenScad? |

How you measure it is up to you, converting mm to m is a simple division by 1000 anyway. |
