Hey mate, I was looking to use this base but see it's still on the to do list. I'm pretty keen to help out though and get this one going. I haven't done much CAD design but between my programming experience and messing around with the current files, I reckon I could get it done. I'm just looking for some insight on where to find specs for the fin box. I've looked around on google a bit but didn't come up with much. Any suggestions of where to look? Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Thanks for wanting to help out here. The reason the base is not yet modeled is due to the lack of information about the finbase. I don't own any future fins myself and am unable to measure them.

If you have some future fins yourself, it would be great if you'd measure and model them.
Otherwise asking on http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/general-discussion might provide some help.

Hey Hans, thanks for getting back to me! Looks like you've run into a similar issue. I'll see what I can come up with. I have some future fins of my own so will take a look. Would you just measure things in mm and then convert to meters when creating models in OpenScad?

How you measure it is up to you, converting mm to m is a simple division by 1000 anyway.
