        <h1>📚 HouseLearning Terms of Service</h1>
        <p><strong>Effective Date: December 13, 2025</strong></p>
        <p>By accessing and using the HouseLearning website, its educational resources, the Community Forum, or the
        Student/Teacher Dashboard (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service
        ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the
        Service.</p>

        <h2>1. User Accounts and Eligibility</h2>
        <h3>1.1 Eligibility and Firebase Authentication</h3>
        <p>The Service is intended for users who are at least 8 years old, including, but not limited to, students,
        pupils, teachers, and administrators. If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from a parent or
        legal guardian to use the Service. We use Google Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts and secure
        login credentials. We reserve the right to terminate any account found to be in violation of this age
        requirement. </p>

        <h3>1.2 Account Responsibilities</h3>
        <ul>
            <li>You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all
          activities that occur under your account.</li>
            <li>You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account.</li>
            <li>You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your
          account.</li>
          </ul>

        <h2>2. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)</h2>

        <h3>2.1 Service Content Ownership</h3>
        <p>All original educational content, lessons, the "look and feel" of the website, and trademarks ("Service
        Content") are the property of HouseLearning or its licensors and are protected by copyright. We grant you a
        limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service Content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational
        use.</p>

        <h3>2.2 User-Generated Content (UGC)</h3>
        <p>Any content you post on the Service, including on the Community Forum, in projects, or as feedback
        ("UGC"), remains your intellectual property. By posting UGC, you grant HouseLearning a worldwide,
        royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your UGC in connection with operating and
        promoting the Service. You acknowledge that all content posted to the Forum is publicly viewable.</p>

        <h3>2.3 Feedback and Suggestions</h3>
        <p>If you choose to provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or bug reports via our <strong>Feedback
          Sidebar</strong>, email, or other channels ("Feedback"), you agree that HouseLearning is free to use,
        disclose, reproduce, license, distribute, and exploit this Feedback as we see fit, without any obligation or
        compensation to you. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such Feedback
        for any purpose.</p>

        <h2>3. Acceptable Use Policy</h2>
        <p>You agree not to use the Service to:</p>
        <ul>
            <li>Violate Laws: Post any UGC that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates any third party's rights.</li>
            <li>Harm Minors: Transmit any content that is harmful to minors.</li>
            <li>Disrupt the Service: Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service,
          including the Student/Teacher Dashboard or the Forum.</li>
            <li>Spam/Abuse: Engage in spamming, phishing, or abusive behavior toward other users or staff.</li>
            <li>Circumvent Security: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, including
          our underlying systems hosted on GitHub and Firebase.</li>
          </ul>

        <h2>4. Educational Data and Dashboard Use (Data Storage)</h2>

        <h3>4.1 Learning Progress Data Storage</h3>
        <p>By using personalized features (e.g., adaptive practice, saving progress), you agree that HouseLearning may
        collect and store data related to your educational progress and performance ("Educational Data"). You
        acknowledge that this Educational Data is stored primarily using Firebase Realtime Database (RTDB).</p>

        <h3>4.2 Student and Teacher Dashboard</h3>
        <p>If your account is connected to a teacher or group, you acknowledge that your teacher or the designated
        administrator will have access to your Educational Data, progress, and performance metrics as presented on
        the Dashboard for monitoring and support purposes.</p>

        <h3>4.3 Feedback Tool and Screenshots (Firestore Use)</h3>
        <p>Our Service includes a Feedback Sidebar that allows you to voluntarily submit text and screenshots. By using
        this feature, you acknowledge that this data is securely stored using Google Cloud Firestore. You agree
        not to include sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII) (such as real names, home addresses, or
        passwords) in any screenshots or text descriptions submitted through the Feedback tool.</p>

        <h2>5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability</h2>

        <h3>5.1 "As Is" Service and Third-Party Dependencies</h3>
        <p>The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. HouseLearning makes no warranties,
        express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Service, or the accuracy of the educational
        content. You acknowledge that the Service relies on third-party services, including GitHub, Google
        Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database (RTDB), and Cloud Firestore, and that the availability and
        security of the Service are subject to the performance of these third-party providers.</p>

        <h3>5.2 GitHub Hosting Disclaimer</h3>
        <p>You acknowledge that the Service is hosted on GitHub Pages and relies on the GitHub API. We are not
        liable for any service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues resulting from GitHub's platform.</p>

        <h3>5.3 Limitation of Liability</h3>
        <p>To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HouseLearning shall not be liable for any indirect,
        incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, resulting from (a) your
        use or inability to use the Service; (b) any unauthorized access to our systems; or (c) any conduct or content
        of any third party on the Service (including forum users).</p>

        <h2>6. Termination and Changes</h2>

        <h3>6.1 Termination</h3>
        <p>We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you
        breach these Terms.</p>

        <h3>6.2 Changes to the Terms of Service</h3>
        <p>We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and
        update the "Effective Date." By continuing to use the Service after the changes are posted, you agree to the
        revised Terms.</p>
