In addition to templatable action titles, it would be powerful to also make other attributes of actions like the text / background color and icon templateable. |

I wish I could help but Swift is not my language, at all 😅 |

I think widgets should be getting a lot more love than they do currently. Furthermore, with iOS 17 now we can have interactive widgets and it's shame Home Assistant doesn't utilise that power. |

This seems like it should be a relatively simple feature to add, but can some developers elaborate, is this difficult because of how iOS limits background updates or some other limitation? |

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I really want a way to get more sensors to Apple Watch than just using the complications. I imagine that done with the ability to do templating to Automation display text. I would then create automations with no backend code.
But I would use it to have a button to toggle the alarm that shows its current state. I would like to implement a toggle button that can be used to walk through a list of rooms, and then I can start the vacuum on the next button. So button presses / the app should call the backend for regular updates when it is in front.
Long/short press or double-click would be nice as well. Would also work as a short term solution to toggle. say one press = on, double = off.
Half width "buttons" would be nice as well, especially for data.
Describe the solution you'd like
See above.
Additional context
The running/excercise app I am using (WorkOutDoor) is using double-click / tripple click for custom functionality (show map, switch to next screen layout). And has very customizable screen layout.
