Imagine a device is connected to a multi-bit bus. This device can treat it both as an input and an output. Is this possible to create in Digital? My attempts at using a splitter/merger and setting D output to a "Data Bus" output did not work as expected when I added the circuit to a larger circuit. |

This is actually not possible without further ado, since the splitter itself cannot work bidirectionally. For this case there is a special bidirectional splitter, which can be switched in the direction. |

I ended up skipping the splitter altogether as I don't think it helped in my case but the EEPROM circuit example showed me how to make tri-state "inputs" that can function as outputs as well. Thanks! |

See the EEPROMs (Library->DIL Chips->EEPROMs) in the library as an example.
