It would be nice if the minimum width can be lowered to 30. Currently the "3rd party icons" are a bit apart from the default Gnome's system icons.
See pic:

It will be nice if they look consistent.

Thanks a lot for this extension! Cheers!

Hi, thanks!

The extension is actually designed to target only additional panel indicators made by gnome extensions and skip the quick settings combined indicator.

The extension changes not the width between indicators, but the width of the light grey pill around the indicator itself.

The combined quick settings indicator is actually an indicator that contains multiple icons. And it is supposed to differ from the rest.

If you want to fool the eye into seeing the quick settings indicator as many separate indicators, then I'm afraid it is not quite the right tool. Perhaps, Just Perfection or Status Area Horizontal Spacing can do that.

You still can use dconf Editor to tweak the schema from the backend and set the desired minimal width to 30.

But here's how it will look:

See how the grey pill touches the icon itself? Not quite pretty.

So the idea of this extension is to make all the custom indicators equal in terms of pill spacing (which are either 40 or 51) without messing with the combined indicator that acts as one entity.

Here is my setup with 51 where everything is aligned but the quick settings combined indicator is just wider than the rest and thus stands out by design:

I do understand what you would like to see, and it is a perfectly valid point. But alas not for my taste. So if you are a coder, you can fork it and redo it the way you like. Otherwise, please check other alternatives that resize the spacing between and not the pills themselves.

Thank you again for your feedback and suggestion.
