Intermittent slowdown

Hello, I love this code, so thank you for putting it together. Recently I am having a weird intermittent issue... Once in a while (maybe 10-20% of the time) when I launch the scanner view, the camera moves EXTREMELY slowly, to the point that it is unusable. If, however, I swipe away the scanner and launch it again, it works just fine, no issues at all. I think it may have something to do when the app first launches... the first time the scanner view opens I'm much more likely to experience this drastic slowdown, if that makes sense. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I can send some video if that is helpful...
