To be honest, I find it annoying having to always enter a token (I create my token that ends at a certain time due to security reasons). I wish there was just a "Login to GitHub" feature as an alternative way to obtain access.

Head over to my project. I'm using OAuth to increase the API rates. I also added a more intuitive UI for setting PAT's for reading private repo sizes. There currently is not an OAuth way to enable private reading of repo contents without also granting write access.
