Description
Just collecting some info here in case someone wants to pick up where I left of.
I got curious about the Galachip GC1601. Googling Galachip or GC1601 has yielded not much useful really (no company website or historical record that such a company existed). Looking into some device trees, I see compatible = "faraday,gc1601";. Faraday Tech is an IP vendor, it seems.
I have had a quick peek into the firmware of TP-Link XZ000-G7. Some additional information about TP-Link XZ000-G7 in Portuguese.
- ARM 32-bit
- uses kernel 3.16
- uclibc based userspace
- /etc/config.sdk in rootfs suggests some custom Galachip specific SDK
and that they use a (given the ancient kernel and user space) a surprisingly recent U-Boot versionGC_UBOOT_202007rc2=y
