can you send tell me which JDK version are you trying? I will take a look, this needs some integration tests I was planning to add 👍

also I think this is problematic code, all supported event types are always enabled, looks like and easy fix:

I tested on corretto 1.8 and temurin 11, but it does not really matter - you see the issue
