[Bug report] Cannot scan South Carolina IDs PDF-417 barcode

Describe the bug
My app uses MLKit to scan barcodes in a live camera preview and the barcode scanner really has trouble scanning the PDF-417 barcode present on South Carolina IDs.

To Reproduce
Here is a sample of south carolina ID where the PDF-417 code fails to be detected:

I've used the following demo app (Barcode Scanning > Batch Mode on > Scan): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.geniusscansdk.simpledemo&hl=en

Expected behavior
The code should be properly detected, at least when the device is in landscape orientation and the barcode takes almost all the preview size.
