I hope flatbuffers can update their version numbers (and also update the version numbers of the cargo.io and pub.dev repositories) so that I can use the new features in a standard way

Hey! Releases are up to @dbaileychess -- with the recent surge in activity though I am also hopeful we can cut a new release soon. We also have a lot of open PRs that are really close to merging, so hopefully after those go in.

I will take a look at that PR as I have time for sure! In the meantime, a new release has been cut: https://github.com/google/flatbuffers/releases/tag/v25.12.19
