Visual Builder "seems" unable to rename sub_agent manually. #3666

I have been using the Google Antigravity IDE to work with the Google ADK. The Antigravity IDE—is a fantastic environment. The Google ADK,, on the other hand, is proving to be quite challenging specifically with using the Visual Builder.

I have been working diligently with the ADK, and while powerful, it is significantly more difficult to operate compared to systems like my local n8n and AnythingLM installations. Today, I asked ADK Visual Builder AI assist to help me create a project - use a Telegram Bot msg to trigger an agent to, based on my request, create and email, event , or task using Google Calendar and/or GMail. The ai initially understood my request. It began building nodes and generating all the necessary files. I couldn't figure out if the ai was still work or if the interface froze. I sent the ai a question, "are you working..." I clicked save. Nothing happened. I could't go back from the visual interface, so I exited - closed the browser page - before saving.

When I restarted the ADK, I provided the AI with the project design and the previously generated files (which were somehow saved to my drive). The AI attempted to rebuild the project, but reported that it could not create or restore visual nodes for the project. It said that was beyond its capabilities - i don't think it had any context of it's role. I then attempted to rebuild everything manually from scratch.

During this process, I discovered that even if I modified files directly, or modified a visual node's configuration in the editor - even if i tried to save - the app would not keep the changes. It behaved as if the edits were blocked or not recognized; and changing the underlying .yaml file also had no effect.. At some point, it would not let me access the visual editor - with a msg like "this was not created i.. - i was unable to see the whole msg. In short, I was unable to rebuild my project—either automatically from the old files or manually using the visual editor.

I am not sure whether I am using the ADK incorrectly or whether something is malfunctioning in the save/load pipeline for visual nodes. I hope this feedback helps, and I would appreciate guidance on the correct workflow for restoring or continuing an incomplete ADK project..
