Iffy letter placement on generated outlines

Sometimes outlines are positioned wrong:

A few offending words for reference:

Having dug into it a little bit I suspect it's due to dominant letters in shortcut letter groupings throwing off the starting point. Above for example includes the special shortcut for 'sh', which contains 'h', which is a dominant consonant. So the whole outline is being positioned in relation to a letter that isn't being drawn (at least not in the vanilla way).

This may be quite finicky to fix actually...
