Question

How does .specify/ ensure semantic and logical consistency and integrity among all the specifications it writes?

Ex. feature-003 and feature-005 may be exclusive of each other for the most part, but there could be one or two aspects which conflict with each other, bearing consequences in the lifecycle and usage of the application?

A registry.md|.json|.yaml could solve the problem?

To ensure true semantic consistency, the system would need:

1. Global Registry (/specs/registry.yaml):

   • Track all claimed endpoints, entities, and resources
   • Validate new specs against existing claims

2. Cross-Spec Validation Script:

   • Scan all specs for conflicting requirements
   • Detect overlapping API endpoints
   • Identify shared entity modifications

3. Integration Contract Requirements:

   • Mandatory "Dependencies" section in specs
   • "Impacts Analysis" for existing features
   • Explicit integration points documentation

4. Semantic Conflict Detection:

   • Parse functional requirements for logical conflicts
   • Validate business rule consistency
   • Check for mutually exclusive features

The current system relies on human review and constitution compliance rather than automated cross-spec validation!
